WHO WE ARE
What we do
Healing Seekers is a non-profit organization that provides clinician-led online support groups, prayer and meditation guidance, education, inspiration, and individual counseling. We believe that what is held in the mind is revealed in the body, and therefore our programs foster emotional and spiritual growth to support our members’ physical healing. We offer those isolated through physical or emotional illness a sense of community and acceptance.
We honor the healing presence of a Higher Power in our life. Our purpose is to help our members through Healing Seekers work and the advice of their medical professionals. Our primary focus is to help people understand their part in healing their mind and thought process, which empowers greater health and comfort in all areas of their lives. Healing Seekers applies historical and universal spiritual principles and the teachings of Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD and Dr. Herbert Benson, MD.

OUR CORE VALUES
We believe that what is held in the mind is revealed in the body. (David Hawkins, M.D., PhD.)
The Source of all life, our Higher Power, is the healing presence in all life.
Our clients are given maximum respect, dignity, and love.
We believe in the healing power of forgiveness, both in the moment and multiple times, to resolve conflict, guilt, and resentment.
We believe in sharing the truth in community to release buried emotions while encouraging and supporting others on their journey.
We believe healing is promoted through direct prayer and meditation, especially by emphasizing a quiet mind and visualization.
Healing happens in body, mind, emotions, and spirit over time or spontaneously as we accept the truth and grow toward perfect love.
We, as members, offer ourselves and our experience to all who seek healing.
We value our relationships as gifts; therefore, we commit to keeping confidentiality in the group. “What is said in the group stays in the group.”
We believe in the non-profit motive and hold that no person will be denied due to a lack of funds. Volunteers serve us, but our hired staff are due their wages.
The body has a bias toward health. Our work is to reorient the mind so the body does what the mind tells it to do. This reorientation occurs through prayer, meditation, and the expectation of a positive outcome.
